Newsletters – articles from broad audience of technologists, business leaders, educators, and scientists’ advocates broadening diversity in science, technology, engineering, and education

White Papers – invited articles by Subject Matter Experts (SME) and organizations providing in-depth journalistic discussions of high interest to the global community of technical professionals, high education administrators, and business executives

Each article submitted should provide defining information from the author(s) with expanded descriptions of the topic and key issues and/or technical factors that can benefit reader understanding. Recommendations included should be based on referenced facts along with descriptions of impact on issues such as diversity, career selection, advancing science, education, societal benefit, technology, or engineering.

  • 2/5/22 Descriptions of solutions leading to improved messaging from health scientists concerning epidemics and impact on youth pursuing careers in science.
  • 4/22/22 How are we responding to tech talent workforce deficits in essential industry sectors? What industry segments experience greatest challenges and how a more diverse workforce can solve.
  • 7/1/22 Why do structure of programs building partnerships addressing divisions between industry and educators by engaging underrepresented professionals and women succeed?
  • 11/1/22 Is focus of K12 tech career education pointed on short term demand or long-term need? What needs to change in conventional career education?

White Paper Due Dates – articles by Subject Matter Experts(SMEs) and organizations providing in-depth journalistic discussions of high interest to our community of technical professionals, high education administrators, and business executives.

Persons claiming status as SME need to provide bio and publication references in advance of offering articles for acceptance. Limit – 1000 words

  • 2/5/22 The Energy Transformation Landscape – What lies Ahead? What technologies and usage patterns will change and how?
  • 5/1/22 What is the extent of cultural and race based microaggressions leading to gender and race disparity in K12 and higher Education? Are conventional DEI approaches really the solution?
  • 8/1/22 How can AI be put to better use to shape lives and the economy? Are new algorithms required or can data and culture be interpreted differently?
  • 12/1/22 Describe efforts with potential to harden areas against the impact of climate change with technology (floods, hurricanes, forest fires, drought).

Reader’s Platform
Members of the audiences of over 51,000 global supporters and readers of our publications across all platforms have asked us to expand article submission opportunities. As our Editorial Planning Board identified topics for newsletters and white papers, there remain areas of new science and technology, aspects of broadening diversity across technical disciplines, and education that have high merit.
In response to this need to expand content for readers in these areas, we will now accept technical articles of general interest, not included in topics in the above Article Call for 2022.

We invite submission of articles with a maximum of eight (8) articles accepted to be published in each additional issue of the Stem News Chronicle newsletter on our website. The dates of acceptance for articles of 600 words in length are.

  • Group A – June 1, 2022
  • Group B – October 1, 2022
